Nose Painting

Satyavolu Rambabu’s mind is in continuous search of creative techniques. He tried Finger Painting (which is Painting with fingers and can be done either by water colors or in oil Painting media). He enjoys taking risks and in following new methodologies. In late 90s he found a new creative technique called nose painting, initially he found it very hard to use the nose as a brush, which lead to pain in his nose and head ,while painting and he was not able to see where his nose is exactly pointed on the paper. To overcome these types of problems, it is required to have exceptional self-motivation and discipline. He is a major in it. He strived hard to find his own artistic vision and applied it in his art. He experiments with a variety of techniques and explores both traditional (still life, landscape, and the figure) and nontraditional subjects. The notion of Painting is challenged through the materials (nose as a brush) he dared to use. Finally he is the only one person in the world who can use his nose as a brush and he produced enormous number of paintings. For this achievement he was rewarded by the Global world record – 2010, India book of records-2012, Telugu book of Records-2013, and also has received appreciation from our former president Honorable Dr.A.P.J.Abdul kalam in person .

His paintings have been telecasted in many international and national print media and electronic Media channels. The nose painting concept has been appreciated and broadcasted by many television channels. BBC,CNN,AAJTAK,ANI and all the regional channels in Andhra Pradesh have interviewed him about the nose painting .His achievement as a nose painter has been headlined in The Hindu, Times of India, Hans of India and in all regional news papers.
